I have been doing lots of work for my cocktail blog..

I thought I would start with the history of the cocktail ?Trying to work out what people actually want from a blog…

It feels odd for me not to write a breif history at the begining ? Even if no one reads it. It would make me feel like there is a meaning to my blog.

So, for the last week or so I have been gathering some information on the history of Cocktails, everyone has a diffrent view, ideas. The Savoy cocktail book, which I have at home, also starts with a history of the cocktail and where the word cocktail has been derived from. But there is many other ideas of the same thing, all over the internet. How do I find out what is Right?

Also Am planning on my first cocktail day and evening? These will be planned throughout the month, at least three a month. These will work along side my blog with photos, tasting notes and a review. I would also like to have some notes from other people who will try the cocktails.

I am planning to write something about this link or the source I have added to this … . I have no time now, I wanted to make sure I don’t forget to do so.

The idea of being a wildlife photographer, seems the most appealing thing to me at the moment. Working in an office all day, even if I am in the country side seems to have no future? Well it does but is that where I would like it to lead?

Another thing I would like to add to my Outside blog is a marvelous … article found today by Jezz, in the Telegraph ! “Mugged by a fox”. I have another clipping similar in my hand diary . . so will scan that in as another addition.

Ideas - I would also like to add a daily photograph of the vegetables I am growing this year. Must, must do this.

Silverlight - Microsoft- Sucks lots of balls.

A free web browser plug-in, Used now by Love Film to watch the instant films on the site… Which means I now cant watch any of my on-line films with my love film package … . As I am not running Windows or Mac - Has anyone else this problem ? And has anyone else spoken to Love Film ? I have and they have given me a free month ?? -

I wanted to watch - The land Of Women or Knights Templar - But I guess I will have to go to blockbuster …

I really enjoy Instagram .. Its a great idea. I would like to ask why lots of people are using other people photos? Does this not take the fun out of the application? - i would like to get people more involved with Red bubble - I know it is very popular and am sure it is over in the states, but over here in the United Kingdom, it seems relatively unknown. http://www.redbubble.com - It works really well to get prints of your work made for you . . And of other peoples - even T Shirts. Its such a good idea.

The Lead must grab the reader, The next few sentences should and must expand the lead - One of the first sentences should Sum up the Press release and the further content will elaborate this…

The Body Copy

This should be compact, Avoiding long sentences, paragraphs and repetition - So exactly the same rules to any written work apart from if you are writing Lyrics for a pop song or House track. - Whilst doing some research I found that someone had written not to use Jargon - This depends who your target reader is ? They might want jargon.. or they may not…

Buteo buteo ~ The Common Buzzard is a medium to large Bird of Prey, whose range covers most of Europe and extends into Asia. It is usually resident all year, except in the coldest parts of its range, and in the case of one subspecies..

I have three resident Buzzards that have nested on the edge of our wood . . I have seen these three for the last year - One of which was/is a juvenile … I have posted the sightings on http://www.bto.org/volunteer-surveys/birdtrack . . Recently I have sighted another Buzzard - I know it is a different one as they were sighted all at once - This sighting was around the 1st of March 2012.

Buzzards are strongly territorial, and defend their territory throughout the year. They are usually sedentary birds - I actually did not realise this and thought that Buzzards would migrate for several months… I hardly see them when the weather is even slightly cold or dull, so they must stay close to their nesting tree and keep to the woods?

The nesting territory contains several alternative nest sites; usually 1-3, but up to 14 have been recorded. A different nest is used in successive years. Distribution of territories depends largely on availability of suitable nest sites. Since much of the foraging is done outside the territory, the territory size is not affected by food availability.

The buzzard is fully protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, which makes it an offence to kill, injure or take a buzzard, or to take, damage or destroy an active nest or its contents. - Only recently, in the last 5 years have Buzzards along with other large birds or prey like Gos Hawks, have been widespread around the South east of England. this is down to pesticides, poisoning and being killed - -

Buzzards feed on carrion and so they can easily be poisoned… Farmers/keepers of game, such as Pheasant, Have been known to shoot and poison Birds of prey . . Since the Buzzards became Legally protected their numbers have dramatically grown!

I am always looking for great films to watch, so came across this list of films - - There is over 2000 titles ! Pretty impressive list and now I don’t know where to start.

The Artist (2011)

Panoramic photo Application - What do you think of this shot? It is pretty poor really - -

It works well technically, But the image at the end is not good…. ? Looking for another Application that does the same thing, only better.

My other favorite apps for my iphone.. Love Instagram - - Would like to do a few competitions for Thunder Toffee Vodka .. (would work so well)

Snapspeed, Genious, Powercam, Mr.Chiizu .. PopBooth

Another Great Application is Phoster - Works really well for my brothers short films he is currently creating! He has been using phoster to create posters and the introduction of his films. These films have been filmed with his iphone.

Will post these when I have his permission.
